The B.S. in Psychology program provides students with rigorous training in the science of psychology, including the theoretical bases of psychology and the empirical methods of both basic and applied psychology.  The core of this program includes courses that give students a strong theoretical foundation in the different areas of psychology including research methods, history and systems of psychology, biopsychology, cognitive psychology, cross-cultural psychology, and most importantly the application of these areas to solving real world problems.  Additionally, the degree offers electives in areas related to Health Psychology and general Applied Experimental Psychology.

Earning a B.S. in Psychology will give students the requisite knowledge needed to seek employment in areas related to psychology (e.g., research and development, health settings, government agencies, business, etc.) or to pursue admission to graduate programs in psychology (e.g., health psychology, experimental psychology, or clinical/counseling psychology).
