Mechanical Engineering Technology (A.S.)

The University of North Georgia, a Regents’ Engineering Transfer Program Institution, gives students several alternatives to articulate to upper division institutions. Formal engineering transfer agreements have been developed with the Georgia Institute of Technology, The University of Georgia, Southern Polytechnic State University, and Mercer University. The University of North Georgia offers the student several options in engineering and engineering technology including: the Associate of Science Degree in Engineering, the Associate of Science Degree in Engineering Technology, the Associate of Science Degree in Agricultural Engineering, the Associate of Science Degree in Biological Engineering , the Associate of Science Degree in Civil Engineering Technology, the Associate of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering Technology, and the Associate of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology.

Core Curriculum Requirements 60 hours

Area A1: No exceptions

Area A2: MATH 1113 or higher recommended

Area B: No exceptions

Area C: No exceptions

Area D: PHYS 1111/1111L and PHYS 1112/1112L or PHYS 2211/2211L and PHYS 2212/2212L and MATH 1450 recommended

Area E: No exceptions

Area F. Courses Appropriate to Major 18 hours


 Note: PHYS 1111/1111L and PHYS 1112/1112L or PHYS 2211/2211L should be taken in Area D. If not, one sequence will be required in area F.
