Music Education (Choral Track) (B.S.)

Requirements for Music Education Majors - Each candidate for the Bachelor of Science in Music Education must also successfully complete field experience, service learning, and internship requirements as directed by the Department of Music and the College of Education. Music Education Majors must be current members of Collegiate National Association for Music Education.

Core Curriculum Requirements 60 hours

Area A1: No exceptions

Area A2: No exceptions

Area B: No exceptions

Area C: No exceptions (MUSC 1100 - Music Appreciation is not an option for music majors.)

Area D: No exceptions

Area E: No exceptions

Area F. Courses Appropriate to Major 18 hours

 * Students whose major instrument is piano or are competent to exempt these courses must substitute two courses in MUSC 25XX (1 hour) to complete Area F.

Major Requirements 76 hours

 

Required Music Courses 39 hours
