				Admission to the Teacher Education Program required. The History Degree Program with Teacher Education Certification holds the same requirements as the History Degree, with the following three exceptions:  1) Area F:  ECON 2105 is required rather than one 1000-2000 level ANTH, ECON GEOG, PHIL, POLS, PSYC, or SOCI course; 2) Major Area:  eight upper-level History courses rather than nine; 3)  Minor Area & Electives:  both sections replaced with 36 hours of the Teacher Education courses. Programs of study are subject to requirements listed in the Department of Teacher Education section of this catalog. |

 Area E: HIST 1112 and HIST 2111 recommended
 Note: All students pursuing a degree in History must complete HIST 1111, 1112, 2111, & 2112. Typically, 1112 and 2111 will be completed in AREA E and 1111 and 2112 will be completed in AREA F. Area F: Courses Appropriate to Major - 18 hours

 In order to graduate, a student must have a minimum of 2.0 for their institutional GPA and a 2.0 in their Major (Area F and the Major). Students must also complete a minor.
