The B.S. in Healthcare Services and Informatics Administration will prepare graduates to be effective as leaders of interdisciplinary healthcare teams that are responsible for implementation and administration of EHRs and other clinical information systems in all healthcare settings. Graduates will also be indispensable members of healthcare teams through their role in managing the knowledge of healthcare.
The B.S. in Healthcare Services and Informatics Administration is a four year, 120 semester hour program. Students complete two years of liberal arts and sciences classes followed by immersion in healthcare informatics administration courses. Students may also enter the program following completion of an associate degree in Interdisciplinary Healthcare or equivalent. If needed, articulation agreements with other associate degree programs will be sought.
The program is offered in two formats: entirely online in order to make the program as accessible as possible to students who may have time or geographic constraints that prevent them from attending classes on campus, and a hybrid option that combines online courses with in-person courses offered at the Cumming campus.
