Geomatics Certificate

This certificate strives to meet the demand for highly skilled and educated land surveyors and geomatics professionals in Georgia. Geomatics is a rapidly changing field that is always incorporating the latest technology to improve accuracy and precision in spatial data collection. The Department of Labor Occupational Handbook predicts faster than average growth in this field over the next decade.

Program Requirements

  1. Maintain a 2.5 GPA in all required Geomatics courses.
  2. Complete a minimum of 9 credit hours at UNG. Some transfer credit for Geospatial Science and Technology graduate courses may be considered. Check with an academic advisor.
  3. Completion of undergraduate surveying courses equivalent to the Georgia Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors’ 2018 Land Surveying Education Evaluation Policy requirements S1 and S2 or completion of ENVE 5221K and ENVE 5222K.
