Design and Technology for Theatre (B.F.A.)


The BFA in Design & Technology for Theatre degree program consists of a one hundred twenty (120) semester hour sequence designed to meet the educational employment requirements of workers in theatrical design and the entertainment technology industry (film, dance, TV, etc.). It is a comprehensive degree with 72 credits in Theatre Core (18), Design/Tech Core (30), Concentration (24), and 6 elective credits. An additional 42 credits are taken in Areas A-E core curriculum coursework. The concentrations of study for this degree are Lighting and Sound Design, Costume and Scenic Design, and Technical Direction and Stage Management.

Electives must be taken at the 3000-level or higher and can be taken within any discipline offered at UNG.
