Technology Management (B.A.S.)

The Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.S.) with a major in Technology Management degree program prepares graduates to move into supervisory positions in businesses and industry, retail environments, law offices, and travel or tourism-related businesses. Courses in management, marketing, and accounting enable students to integrate their specific expertise with new technology skills. The curriculum combines experiential learning opportunities from the AAS degree with vital topics such as using technology to enhance management, marketing, personnel relations, professionalism, and quality control.

Entrance Requirements

  1. Complete all UNG general institutional admissions requirements.
  2. Declare a major in Technology Management.
  3. Hold an appropriate career associate degree (A.A.S. or A.A.T.) from an accredited institution (as defined under Accredited Institutions in the Academic Information section of the Undergraduate Catalog). Students who hold associate degrees (usually A.A. or A.S.) designed to constitute the first two years of a B.A., B.S., B.B.A., or other traditional baccalaureate degree, will not be eligible for admission to the B.A.S. program. A student who wishes to pursue the B.A.S., but who has not yet completed a career associate degree, must finish the career associate degree to gain admission to the B.A.S. major.

Major Requirements - 60 hours


Common Professional Component - 27 hours


A grade of C or higher is required in all Business Core and Major Specific courses. Admission to upper division is required to register for most courses with prefixes of ACCT, BUSA, CIS, ECON, FINC, MGMT and MKTG numbered 3000 or higher (the courses that are not part of the admission to upper division are noted with an “*” to the right of the course name).

Upper Level Electives/Concentration - 12 hours


Career Program - 21 hours
