The Gerontology Minor is designed to enable students at the undergraduate level to obtain a minor in 2-3 semesters of course work. Students will complete 18 semester hours of upper-level undergraduate courses to meet the requirements of the minor. The Gerontology minor is a fully online program.
Students will complete 18 semester hours of upper-level undergraduate courses to meet the requirements of the Minor, 3 of which must come from the introduction to aging classes, and 12 hours must come from Gerontology electives. Additionally, students must select 3 hours from the following capstone offerings: a supervised Practicum Experience or a Research Experience (GERO 3681) with a faculty member working in any area of Gerontology, or in a Gerontology setting. A faculty member in the Gerontology program must approve the practicum or research experience.
