This is an Associate of Arts Degree in Core IMPACTS with Pathway Courses related to English.
Program Course Requirements (if planning to move into B.A. in English):
All students pursuing a degree in English with Literature Concentration (B.A.) must complete ENGL 2900 with a grade of C or higher early in their program (ideally within the first 60 hours of their degree progression). Once students begin the B.A. plan of study, they can take as many as two 3000- or 4000-level ENGL Literature courses toward the major (6 total credit hours) before completing ENGL 2900 with a grade of C or higher.

Modern Language Requirement (6 hours):
- Choose a two course modern language sequence of 2001 and 2002 (6 semester hours) in Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Latin, Russian, Portuguese, or Spanish.
Note: All students pursuing an A.A. degree in English must complete ENGL 2230 and 2050. Students who plan to process a Degree Level Change – changing from associate-seeking (A.A.) to bachelor-seeking (B.A.) – are strongly encouraged to complete ENGL 2230 and 2050 courses within the first 60 hours of their degree progression to prepare for 3000- and 4000-level required courses for which ENGL 2230 and 2050 are prerequisites.
