Note: All students pursuing a degree in English must complete ENGL 2230 and 2050 with grades of “C” or higher. Students are strongly encouraged to complete these courses within the first 60 hours of their degree progression to prepare for 3000- and 4000-level required courses for which ENGL 2230 and 2050 are prerequisites. Major Requirements - 60 hours
Note: All students pursuing a degree in English with Literature Concentration must complete ENGL 2900 with a grade of “C” or higher early in their program (ideally, within the first 60 hours of their degree progression). Students can take as many as two 3000- and 4000-level ENGL courses toward the major (6 total credit hours) before completing ENGL 2900 with a grade of “C” or higher. Required Courses - 36 hours
Electives - 6-9 hours
- Electives of the student’s choosing to reach 121 overall credit hours for the degree
