The Sociology (B.S.) promotes critical thinking, data literacy, as well as an understanding of diversity and human behavior. Sociology majors learn about contemporary social problems and are given the tools to turn theory into social change. Sociology provides students with a desirable skillset for many entry-level jobs and prepares students for advanced study in several different fields, including sociology, social work, human services, business, law, public health, and gerontology.
The degree has the option to be completed completely online.
No grade below “C” will be acceptable in any Sociology course or any course in the major area for Sociology majors.
