ART 6570 - Latin American & Latino Art ART 6570 Latin American & Latino Art (3 hours) A study of the art of Latin America and of U.S. Latino art in the 20th and 21st centuries. Media discussed include painting, sculpture, photography, video, installations, pottery, and weaving. Topics include aesthetic appreciation, social and historical contexts, and issues and approaches to the study of art. Students enrolled in this course may be required to participate in the organization of an exhibition of Latino Art. Pre-requisite: Admission to Master of Arts in Teaching Art Program.
