ANTH 3640 - Japanese Culture and Society The course provides an introduction to the theories, methods, and basic issues in the study of Japanese culture and society. With a primary focus on the post-World War II period until the present, contemporary Japan will be investigated through attention to patterns of socialization, institutional organization, ethnicity, gender, continuity, change, and future prospects.
