ANTH 3600 - Contemporary East Asia This course examines how the processes of modernity and globalization influence contemporary East Asian societies. Using ethnographic case studies that focus on the lived experiences of individuals belonging to diverse communities living in East Asia, the course will examine patterns of socialization, institutional organization, ethnicity, gender, continuity, change, and future prospects.
