CHEM 1211K - Principles of Chemistry I


First course in a two-semester sequence covering the fundamental principles and applications of chemistry designed for science majors. Topics to be covered include composition of matter, stoichiometry, periodic relations, and nomenclature. Laboratory exercises supplement the lecture material.

Prerequisite/Corequisite:
Prerequisite: Old SAT Math score of 550 or higher, new SAT Math score of 570 or higher, ACT Math score of 23 or higher, Accuplacer Next-Generation Advanced Algebra score of 263 or higher, ALEKS Assessment score of 61 or higher, or MATH 1111, MATH 1113, MATH 1450, or MATH 1501 with a grade of C or higher
