The Department of Health Administration offers undergraduate courses leading to an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree with a pathway in Health Informatics and Administration, and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Health Informatics and Administration (HIA).
The Health Informatics and Administration Program offers a broad-based, healthcare information technology curriculum reflecting the academic emphasis of the discipline and focusing on the diversity of the healthcare industry. Courses in foundational healthcare and policy, information security, database analytics, management, and implementation of operating systems help make our graduates stand out in the workplace.
Students in the Associate of Science pathway are provided a strong foundational knowledge of the healthcare information systems field. Those pursuing the Bachelor of Science degree are provided a foundational exposure to all important aspects of the discipline as well as selecting HIA electives that allow them to further their study.
