This is an Associate of Science Degree with advising areas of concentrated study related to Engineering Technology.
The University of North Georgia, a Regents’ Engineering Transfer Program Institution, gives students several alternatives to articulate to upper division institutions. Formal engineering transfer agreements have been developed with the Georgia Institute of Technology, The University of Georgia, Southern Polytechnic State University, and Mercer University.

Area A1: No exceptions
Area A2: MATH 1450 recommended
Area B: No exceptions
Area C: No exceptions
Area D: Choice of recommended sequence: ASTR 1010/L and 1020/L; BIOL 1107/L and 1108/L; CHEM 1211/L and 1212L; CHEM 1151/L and 1152/L; PHYS 1111/L and PHYS 1112/L; PHYS 2211/L and 2212/L. Recommended Area D electives: MATH 2460, MATH 2400, CSCI 1371 or CSCI 1301.
Area E: No exceptions Area F. Advising Area of Concentrated Study Related to Engineering Technology - 18 hours
Physics or Elective Courses
PHYS 1111/L and PHYS 1112/L or PHYS 2211/L and PHYS 2212/L should be taken in Area D; if not, required in Area F. If taken in D, then some of the following electives must be taken (min 7 credit hours).
