Students may not use CHEM 3441/3441L, CHEM 3442/3442L or CHEM 3100 as guided electives unless all three of these courses are taken. In that case, a student may use one of the three courses as a guided elective. Free Electives 18 hours
- 18 hours of the student’s choosing (assuming students use physics in Area D) to bring the total number of hours to 120.
Notes:
- PHYS 1111 or PHYS 2211 and either PHYS 1112 or PHYS 2212, with labs (suitable for Area D) are required.
- CHEM 3441/3441L Organic Chemistry I and either CHEM 3442 Organic Chemistry II or CHEM 3100 Survey of Biochemistry are required.
- No more than 4 hours of a ‘D’ grade in the 18 hour biology core course listing (BIOL 3220K, 3500K, 3240K, 4450, 4700) OR CHEM 3441, 3441L, 3442 or 3100.
