International Affairs (B.A.)

The BA in International Affairs degree program requires an international internship in addition to a study abroad component.  Completion of the degree program will require all students to have some significant educational experience overseas.  The internship enables the student to gain valuable experience in the field in which they plan to work.

Core Curriculum Requirements 60 hours


Refer to Semester Core Curriculum Areas A-E  

Area A1: No exceptions

Area A2: MATH 1101, MATH 1111, MATH 1113, or MATH 2450

Area B: POLS 2401 Strongly Recommended

Area C: No exceptions

Area D: MATH 2400 (suggested for all POLS and IA majors to take in the core)

Area E: No exceptions

Area F. Courses Appropriate to Major 18 hours


Major Requirements


6 Credit Hours from the following:


Courses in Regional Emphasis - 15 hours


  •  POLS, HIST, INTL, or Modern Language in your region: Asia, Europe, Latin America, or Middle East

Electives 12 hours


  •  12 hours of electives
