Pre-Dentistry

This is an Associate of Arts Degree with advising areas of concentrated study related to Pre-Dentistry.

At most baccalaureate degree granting transfer institutions, “pre-professional” designations (pre-chiropractic medicine, pre-dentistry, pre-optometry, pre-osteopathic medicine, etc.) are not majors.  Any student attending the University of North Georgia who plans to attend medical school or one of the other professional schools should plan to select a major in a regular degree program at the transfer institution according to his/her aptitudes, experiences and interests.

The Pre-Dentistry Program at the University of North Georgia provides the student with flexibility in course selection and encourages the student to seek breadth of education through interdisciplinary study. It is the student’s responsibility to develop an appropriate program of study with the assistance of an Academic Advisor that identifies those courses that are required by the transfer institution, those courses that are needed to prepare the student for standardized admission tests, and those courses that are required for admission to the professional school of interest.
