CHEM 3441K - Modern Organic Chemistry I The first course of a two-semester sequence covering nomenclature, molecular structure, reactions and reaction mechanisms of hydrocarbons, their derivatives, and alcohols. Stereochemical and spectroscopic concepts are introduced. This laboratory portion of the course is integrated with the lecture. Laboratory and lecture cannot be taken independently. This course is designed for biology, chemistry, and pre-professional health related majors.
Prerequisite/Corequisite: Prerequisite: A grade of C or higher in CHEM 1212.
