EDD 7103 - Historical and Contemporary Issues in Higher Education This is an introductory doctoral course in which students will be familiarized to a broad range of content related to the history and foundation of the general U.S. higher education landscape. This course will explore the evolution of modern issues facing higher education through the examination of institutional classifications and missions, the roles of state and federal governance and institutional stakeholders, academic organizational structures, higher education policies, and institutional and student cultures, while encouraging a critical perspective on higher education through social justice and diversity.
