NURS 8311 - Epidemiology & Population Health Examines the principles of epidemiology, including the application, analysis, and interpretation of distribution, risk, and prevention of disease in diverse populations. Principles and methods of epidemiologic investigation including patterns of illness/injury in populations and research designs for investigating the etiology of disease are explored. Special attention is given to the impact of disparities and determinants of health on populations. Innovative approaches for planning and developing programs for prevention, management, and health promotion are addressed.
Prerequisite/Corequisite: Prerequisite: Admission to DNP program or permission from program coordinator
