EDL 6004 - Managing School Operations and Resources to Promote Staff and Student Success This course provides a systemic approach to leadership and management roles, responsibilities, opportunities, and challenges of school principals. It has its central focus on ensuring the effective and efficient management of the school to promote student social and academic learning that is characterized by supportive relationships and a culture of care. The principal fosters the success of the school community by supporting, managing, and overseeing the school’s organization, operation, and resources. Procedures involved in school funding are examined, as well as the role of the principal in implementing statutes, audits, procedures, and policies. Recruitment, selection, and retention of school personnel are also examined as they relate to state and federal law. (ISLLC ST 2,4,5,7)
