SOCI 6530 - Death, Society, and the Human Experience

This is an advanced course focusing on sociological perspectives of death and the experience of dying. The course explores cultural understandings and rituals related to death and dying. Special attention is given to multicultural perspectives when working with terminally ill clients and their families.
