EDL 8202 - Analyzing the Context of High and Low Performing Schools This course explores the literature on identifying the characteristics and related issues in developing and sustaining high-performing schools. Aspiring school and central office leaders review the common characteristics of low and high performing schools and begin to analyze their schools and districts as to where they fall on the continuum in key areas related to school performance. Aspiring leaders will examine school mission, vision, and goals as components of high-achieving schools and how the school brands itself to the community and stakeholders. Using such tools as the Georgia School Keys to recognize and understand relevant sources of school data, participants identify the characteristics of both high and low performance schools to create a plan to lead school teams in a consistent and relentless focus on data-based solutions.
