EDL 8203 - Building Leadership Structures to Impact Student Learning and Effective Professional Development School change cannot be accomplished alone; it takes leaders empowering teams to create high performing learning systems accountable to all students. The purpose of this course is to help aspiring principals and central office leaders lay the groundwork for building instructional leadership teams and professional learning communities that share the work of instructional leadership in the school. The course focuses on how to form these teams, help them define their purpose and goals, and how to utilize the teams to examine the characteristics of professional development in schools to structure successful learning for the staff.
