EDL 8205 - Building a Productive and Safe School Environment

This course will provide candidates with an in-depth look at the essential day-to-day operational management of the school/system, as well as features of day-to-day processes that impact teaching and learning, such as attendance, parent volunteer programs, the hiring process, staff scheduling, etc. Fiscal policies and procedures will be analyzed from the perspective of aligning resources with instructional priorities. The course will provide an overview of the safe, orderly, and engaging learning environment, as it relates to day-to-day operations. School climate conditions will be examined from a best practices’ perspective.
