DYSL 6001 - Understanding and Assessing for Dyslexia

Dyslexia Endorsement students will gain an understanding of typical literacy development and the barriers students with dyslexia face in this course. The course is designed to teach the characteristics of dyslexia and how to assess to determine the presence of those characteristics. Dyslexia Endorsement students will learn the importance of collaborating with other professionals and using ethical, evidence-based practices to develop appropriate instructional plans for students with dyslexia.
