EDL 6100 - School Leadership Internship

This site-based internship provides students with experiential learning opportunities that fulfill certification requirements toward TIER 1 Educational Leadership Certification. The internship provides the infrastructure that bridges leadership practice with leadership theory as candidates acquire the skills, knowledge, and dispositions to make a positive impact on improving schools and student achievement. A minimum of 250 documented hours of leadership experience and a portfolio documenting activities aligned with the Georgia Educational Leadership Standards and the Professional Standards of Educational Leadership is a requirement for program completion. Students will have a site-based mentor and faculty mentor to guide them through the internship and its requirements. Grades will be assigned with a pass or fail (S or U) score.
