Bachelor of Arts in Human Services Delivery and Administration (HSDA) program prepares students for careers in government, business, and non-profit organizations. Human Services are services, occupations, and professions that concentrate on improving and/or maintaining the physical and mental health and general well-being of individuals, groups, and communities in society.
Human Services are generally classified into four service categories:
- Information or advising services such as libraries, museums, and hotlines;
- Maintenance services such as civil service and public welfare programs;
- Personal services such as counseling; and
- Protection services such as public health, criminal justice, and social services.
Admissions requirements:
- Upon admission to Gainesville State College, students may declare the Human Services Delivery and Administration Major at any time.
- Students must achieve a grade of C or higher in all pre-co-requisite courses, and achieve a C or higher in all HSDA courses.
- Students must complete a minimum of 30 credit hours of major courses in residency at GSC and meet all other graduation requirements of the College.
