GISC 4350K - Remote Sensing of the Environment This is an advanced level course addressing remote sensing of the environment. Topics include the physical principles on which remote sensing is based, history of remote sensing, sensors and their characteristics, supervised and unsupervised classification techniques, image and point cloud interpretation, and accuracy assessment. Multispectral, hyperspectral, and LiDAR data will be used to examine vegetation, water, geology, and urban areas. GISC 3337 is recommended as a prerequisite.
Prerequisite/Corequisite: Prerequisite: GISC 2011/L or GISC 3021K
