MATH 3116 - Modeling and Algebra

This course is designed for K-8 pre-service teachers and focuses on number theory, proportional reasoning, patterns, algebraic reasoning, and simple functions. Emphasis is on problem solving, active learning, appropriate communication, substantive connections, technology utilization, and multiple representations of algebraic structures. This course may not be used to fulfill the academic concentration requirement for mathematics or secondary mathematics education students.

Prerequisite/Corequisite:
Prerequisite: MATH 2008 with a grade of C or higher
