HIST 4666 - Eurasia After the Mongols This course examines the history of the Caspian and Pontic Steppes after the dissolution of the Mongol Empire beginning in 1260. The course will focus on interactions between the steppe and sown, focusing primarily on how the relationship altered with the rise of Muscovy as first a successor state to the Mongols and then as the dominant player among the steppe nations.
