MUAP 2640 - Major Applied Woodwind


A continuation of MUAP 1640 focusing on the development of artistic ability. Emphasis is given to the development of woodwind performance abilities through the study of standard repertoire. A combination of individual (50-minute lesson) and group (studio/master class) instruction provides preparation for public performance. Repertoire and other requirements increase with credit hours. Each student who is enrolled for major applied woodwind instruction must concurrently participate fully in a major UNG instrumental performance ensemble, regardless of whether the student chooses to enroll for ensemble credit. A student may accumulate a maximum of 6 credit hours in this course.

Prerequisite: Completion of 2 hours MUAP 1640 with a grade of C or higher
