SOCI 4020 - Animals & Society This course serves as a study into the category of “animal” as a social construct and the relationship between humans and non-human animals, which produces consequences of difference and subsequent inequality. We will be utilizing different sociological perspectives to examine the social patterns, processes, and institutions that establish our lived experiences with non-human animals.
