HLTH 4400 - Healthcare Decision Analysis This course provides a broad overview of the clinical decision-making process and the cognitive processes underlying diagnostic, critical and clinical decision-making. Contemporary theory and science used to guide clinical and critical decision making will be discussed and debated. Inherent biases along with psychological, social, cultural and emotional components that influence decision-making will be examined in relation to making critical decisions at the individual, organizational and societal level. Strategies for making informed decisions that limit personal bias will be presented and practiced.
