MUAP 3670 - Major Applied Jazz & Commercial Performance-based instruction focusing on public performance of standard jazz and/or commercial music repertoire. Admission to upper-division instruction is contingent upon 1) the accumulation of a minimum of two semesters credit in MUAP 2670 and 2) satisfactory completion of a divisional barrier jury before a panel of music faculty. A combination of individual (50-minute lesson) and group (studio/master class) instruction provides preparation for public performance. Repertoire and other requirements increase with credit hours. Each student who is enrolled for major applied instruction must concurrently participate fully in a major UNG performance ensemble, regardless of whether the student chooses to enroll for ensemble credit. A student may accumulate a maximum of 4 credit hours in this course.
Prerequisite/Corequisite: Prerequisites: Audition and minimum 2 semesters of MUAP 2670 with grades of C or higher
