KINS 4380 - Clinical & Adaptive Physiology This course is designed to discuss the pathophysiology and clinical implications of exercise and exercise testing in special populations. The student will gain an understanding of the underlying causes of the condition, and how symptomology and pathophysiology knowledge should be involved in prescribing safe and effective exercise programs in various clinical populations including but not limited to: aging, cardiopulmonary (heart disease, emphysema), metabolic (diabetes, obesity, thyroid), neurological (Multiple sclerosis, Cerebral Palsy, Dementia), musculoskeletal conditions (amputees, spinal cord injury).
Prerequisite/Corequisite: Pre-requisites: KINS 3380/3380L with a grade of C or higher and admission to Exercise Science program
