ATP 7903 - Clinical Experience V

The student is assigned to a certified athletic trainer who is a preceptor for UNG. Under the direct supervision of a preceptor, the student will practice clinical application of skills, be evaluated and reevaluated on clinical proficiencies from current and previous didactic coursework, and be immersed in a hands on role assisting their respective preceptor. All internships have a required fee of $100. Throughout the semester a variety of in-services may be scheduled outside of class. These in-services are mandatory. Decisions regarding the minimum and maximum clinical hours that students will fulfill will be decided collectively by the Athletic Training Faculty and not by the clinical course instructor alone. These decisions will be made by benchmarking with the other programs within the college, other AT programs, and feedback from AT students, alumni, and preceptors.
