Human Services Delivery & Administration (B.S.)

The B.S. in Human Services Delivery & Administration (HSDA) prepares students with the knowledge and skills necessary to serve individuals, families, groups, and communities, and to manage human services functions. Students are able to apply and further develop this knowledge through three semesters of required field practicum classes.

HSDA students must achieve a grade of C or higher in all required classes.

Core Curriculum (Areas A-E) - 42 hours

Area A1: No exceptions

Area A2: No exceptions

Area B: SOCI 1160 recommended

Area C: No exceptions

Area D: MATH 1401 recommended

Area E: No exceptions

Area F: Courses Appropriate to HSDA Major - 18 hours


Major Requirements - 60 hours


HSDA Major Electives - 18 hours


Note: 6 hours must be at the 3000/4000-level. Students may choose to pursue a minor instead of elective coursework. Some minors may not provide all 18 hours and will require an additional 3 hr course to reach the 120 hours required for graduation.

  • Any CRJU course
  • Any GERO course
  • Any HSDA course 
  • Any PSYC course
  • Any SOCI course   
  • Any modern language course
  • Additional coursework may be chosen in consultation with an advisor

Open Electives - 9 hours
